Dodge? In general, if you have two speeds, and the ground is through the switch, you are using two windings- You could have three speeds available as a result, or with the switch you currently have- just two. Since it is not likely that each winding will have it's own power source wire, there has to be one common connection. Trial and error with a battery and jumper wires will tell you which wire combination provides high and low speed. The motor may end up just having three wires with a four wire plug- you cannot always rely on the connector alone. Trial and error will make sparks at times, but you will not damage the motor with momentary connections- they are durable.
