well last night i was on my way home from my girlfriends house when all the sudden my truck backfired a bunch of times and died. i pulled over and checked out all the usual stuff and finally ended up having it towed home,it was like 3 in the morning.well today i pulled the distributor out and found that the pin that drives the gear on the end of it had sheared off. what could have caused this,my oil pump?i dont want to put it back together with a new pin only to have it happen again
