In our little shop in a farming community, we've replaced 6 or 8 in the last couple of weeks, as people get ready for the small grains harvest. Some people eliminate them by simply removing the inlet and outlet lines from the booster, and joining them with an inverted flair union. This does work, but I would in no way recommend doing this, because the brakes get awfull hard to apply, unless you've got a very strong leg!
