Just aquired a C60 Dump with several items amiss. I can figure out most but this one is most entertaining. I seem to run out of travel in the steering turning right but have lots of travel left. I can see the steering assist cylinder has very little travel left when the tires are straight. Best I can figure is the steering arm is bent or the has been replaced withone too long. The steering arm is not 90 degrees like I would expect however the joint for the steering are link attachment point is centered over the axle when the tires are straight. I have a hard time believing the arm bent that much - like about 30 plus degrees. This leads me to a link that is too long. Maybe a wrong Pitman arm(?) I guess I need someone who has one and can give me measurements or send me a picture.
PS. To give an idea how bad this is, its so far off I'd say it steers 75% left and 25% right - can't figure how the lugnuts actually ran this down the local winding roads as this thing swings out across the lanes on a standard 90 degree right turn!
