Al, If your grill is in good shape take it to a Chrome shop. You will be back in business quicker.
A number of yrs ago I did that to a 64-66 series Chevy grill.
Don't forget that the factory paint job for area behind the grill is.....
Flat Black w/ a 2in white band around the black then the regular color of the truck.
That 2 in band is very obivious when you are looking at the front end of the truck. Hope this helps.
