Hi, I've got a 1970 GMC 5500 w/power steering. It has the external hyd. cyl. attached to the tie rod. When you turn the steering wheel to the right all works fine. When you turn to the left it seems to supply to much hyd. to the cyl. and it wants to turn very sharply to the left. This happens when you move the steering wheel a very small amount (1/2 inch). If you move the wheel an inch or more you'd better be ready because you are going to make a very sharp left turn. I was told that there is no way to adjust the box to get a bit less hyd. assist. I find this hard to believe, but maybe it's true. If not, can someone tell me how to adjust it. Also can anyone tell me where I could find a shop manual for this truck. Thanks much.
