Brake hosesPosted by Dave on August 22, 2005 at 07:57:43 from (71.245.202.210):
Hello. I am trying to change the front brake hoses on my 1977 gmc 2500. And I can't seem to figure out how to get the steel hose removed from the end of the rubber line where the fitting goes through the frame. The haynes manual says to remove the steel line by using a back off wrench. I do not know what that is. I was trying to use a flare wrench but there is not enough room inside the frame rail to put the wrench on the thing and turn the wrench. And just don't see how I'm going to spin the nut that holds the line in the frame hole there just isn't any room. Does anyone know how to do this?
