??? 2 speed auxiliary transmission ???

Does anyone know about a 2 speed auxiliary transmission that was available in the '50s and '60s on some small dump trucks? It mounted behind the regular trans. with a short drive shaft and allowed the driver to split all gears. I think it was 1:1 plus 1:.75 ??? which would give you an overdrive in each gear. I don't know if it shifts with a second stick or a cable. I know there are new units that bolt behind late model automatics but I am interested in one of these stand alone units if they are out there.
