I have an '83 GMC 4x4 with the 2.8L V-6. I got this thing as a freebee and it's in sad shape! If nothing other than the engine works it will become a sawmill powerplant! It came without plug wires and the coil is dangeling by several odd lengths of patched together wires.
How do I hookup this coil? It has a negitive screw that I suppose goes to ground. Fine so far... The positive looks like it went to a ballast resistor. Now the distributor has four wires that snake back into the wiring harness and two more that dangle lose and arn't hooked to anything! There is a black wire poking out another harness and it is disconnected too! shiesh! I need some help or my snowplow/sawmill will be toast!
Thanks in advance, Doug
