1979 F-250 fuel pump failed

My F-250 has/had an electric fuel pump-that pumps no more. Can it be fixed? It may be an aftermarket pump- the only markings on it are 12v 4070.
Did the F-250 have a mechanical fuel pump? If so, where would it have been located?
