If you have one of the V-6's, they are best changed when engine is cold, and if you happen to have an extra joint 2 inches above your wrist it is a cinch, otherwise, use a 6 inch extension with a universal and another 6 inch extension- you may want to wrap the extension with electrical tape to get some control over it.

With the 6's, Fom above is about as easy as through the gap in the inner fender where that rubber piece rides on the frame. Some find it easy enough to go at them from underneath,

The real problem is factory original plug wires tend to tear apart real easy.

If you have the 4.6 V-8, the plugs go right through the rocker covers like the old hemi Dodge's. But you might want to look at the longer reach plugs due to some plugs blowing out of the heads taking the threads with them. (Ford has a TSB on this issue)
