IIRC, from the days when I owned an LTD with a 2-barrel 351C...pushrods came in stock length, .060 shorter, and .060 longer. Not sure of the dimension of stock length. But after doing a valve job and having the head milled, I had one cylinder which got all new components--valve, spring, retianer, rocker arm--but used the same pushrod...and afterward, I always had a slight "tick" on that one valve. But since i put another 80,000 miles on that engine after that, I don't think any serious harm was done.
