I have an 80 K35 I suspect 85 is the same. Yes the rotors knock off. The long wheel studs hold the rotor to the hub.
Changing front U joints is not a big deal. The front spindles unbolt from the rest of the ball joint trunion affair,leaving a hole large enough to pull the axle/u joint assy out of the axle housing. No C clips in there,so no need to remove the front dif cover. Swab out the axle tubes so you dont push dirt in the diff when you push the axles back in.
