Studebaker trucks

Posted by Gary Hearn on March 01, 2002 at 19:16:45 from (207.7.95.105):

I have been hooked on Studebakers since 1974 when I bought a '49 2R5 pickup for $75.00. It ran, but the Navy could have used it to lay down smokescreens at sea! Sent it off to the local vo-tech center and $325 and 6 months later the motor was rebuilt. Ended up with 4 spare motors to boot!

Had 4 other Studes (2 M series trucks, a Hawk & a Daytona) and ended up getting sidetracked on tractors (no glass & interiors, etc.).

I am now looking for a late model 2 ton w/ V-8 to haul tractors on to local shows. Anyone have any leads?

Thanks!
