Removing Brake Drums

Just an update. Did manage to get the drum off. Cut the hold down springs; that didn't work but it helped give me more play room at prying on the drum. Heated the adjusting wheel to white hot; this helped. I was able to get the torch into the adjust hole enough to get the adjuster hot. After that, I was able to give it a few turns, enough anyhow to pry off the drum.
Now onto completion of the brake rebuild.
Have put new brake lines, wheel and master cylnder and of course shoes. Replaced the front and rear shocks and front wheel seals.
I am already a grand into this truck and have still not even attempted to start it. Starting to wonder if all the time and work is really worth the effort.
