1970 SuburbanPosted by Chris on June 11, 2002 at 21:17:53 from (66.163.141.229):
I inherited a '70 Suburban, has 100,000 original miles on a 292 6 cyl/4 speed, 3/4 ton, Custom, etc.and is all original, it even had the original tires on it when I got it, but I had to drive it 3,000 miles home so I put new ones on for safety. It was used for the Grandparents annual trip to Mexico for the summer and was kept in the garage on blocks when it was not in use, The only work ever done to it was a new alternator and fuel pump, as well as oil changes etc. I have had several people tell me that it is worth quite a bit of money (one guy said $20,000. that is hard to believe) and have turned down so many offers to buy that I am wondering what it is really worth. There is a collector in town that keeps pestering me to sell it to him, I don't really want to sell it though.
