Scrape the sealer out of the drip rail first,
The glass has to be protected welding sparks or cutting sparks will stick in the glass, burns & sticks in it.
Patches can be taken from another truck & wire welded in but weld a little at a time & back step it. Grind & fill.
I dont know what your experance is?
