When it comes down to it, it's how much do you want to spend? I have a 29' Ford closed cab pickup. I originally wanted to keep it all Ford and was looking for a nice little 289/302 to lower into it. Well, along came a 40,000 mile running 400 small block Chevy for $50. bucks and soon it found itself in the frame rails of my pickup! It was either that or 289/302's for 600-800 bucks. That was 18 years ago and I'm pulling the ole girl out and retiring her. She's oiling up #8 spark plug once in a while on trips, so I'm going to do something a little different this time. I have a fresh .30 over F.I. 4.3L V6 and O.D. to install in her. I'm looking to get a little more leg room in that "phone booth", and also looking into cutting down the heat factor in the cabin. I'll see how that works.....Good Luck with your project! Steve
