1996 suburban

I know its not a clasic but I need help. I picked up a 1996 suburban at an auction recently. the two things wrong with it I dont know how to fix are the air bag light in the instrument pannel comes on and flashes but if I hit the brakes momentarily the light goes off and will stay off untill I hit a bump.
the second thing is the 4x4 switch has a light in it. when I press the button for 4x4 the light flashes but I dont get any 4x4. what do I need to look for. thanks
