It's not as difficult as would seem. There are four bolts that hold the cab to the frame. Take off the box,it is easier to roll the chassis under a suspended cab. The dash assembley on your old truck could be saved with its instrumentation and wiring harness intact. It connects to the front part of the wiring harness with a block, or in some cases pulls through a rubber grommet. I exchanged a dash from an 80 f250 for one froim an 84 f150 I was adding air conditioning from a unit I found in a wrecking yard,(and a tilt steering wheel) and the easiest way to add the air plenums was simply to exchange dashes It took about 1/2 hour to unbolt the dash 6 cap screws holding up the steering wheel, dash unit at door edges, etc, and a dozen or so phillips screws aound the perimiter of the dash holding the assembley below the windshield. took about half day to change dashes and add air. cabs from f150 to f350 from 1980-86 are interchangable so is the grill, but 84 and up has blue oval in the centre
