The Vigilante was a Buick designed V-6 which Kaiser purchased the tooling once Buick was done with them. They were used after the 230 Tornado in line and prior to the adoption of the AMC in line sixes (at least that's how I remember it). I have motored about in J trucks and Gladiators in the past and have never seen or heard of anything Kaiser or AMC built that looked like a F250. Are you referring to the military 1 1/4 ton truck? It looks like a Gladiator on steroids, and every one I've seen with the original motor had a 230. Please post a pic if you can, I am really curious.
