Andy,
Just wanted to say that I've been towing a 26' travel trailer with a '91 GMC 350, 700R4, 373 rear that I bought new and the only week link is that transmission. If I had to do it over again I would have ordered a 5 speed. Never tow in overdrive and make sure the torque converter is locking up (tack will drop about 200 RPM). The aux. tran. oil cooler is very important. Hitches are cheap, get the heaviest one available and dont't forget the leveling bars, sway control, and trailer brakes. Hope this helps.
Gary
