1974 440 Dodge 1 T Dually

I have a dually that I pull a 25' gooseneck with. This truck is a great puller, but the gas mileage sucks(5-7mpg). Is it possible to get 10 to 12 mpg from this rig. I wondered if there were any 5 speed transmissions that would bolt up to this engine. Are there any aftermarket intake manifolds that would help? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Jon
