My 79 F100 302ci out of an 82LTD (carb also) been having a problem.About a month ago it smothered down like it was running out of gas,I feathered the throttle and after a quarter mile it pepped right back up and been running like a haint ever since. As a precaution I replaced the fuel filter but the old one wasn't clogged,I cut it open and looked. Not a problem since until this morning and in the VERY SAME SPOT it did it again just the same way.The temperature seems to be the same as the day it did it before. There is an experemental building where they try all kinds of medical experiments right where it tries to die on me,and after I get past the building it is like I flip a switch and it is ok then.It slowed from 65mph down to 45 mph before coming back to snuff.Would moisture in the gas act like this?Would icing be a likely problem?Would some kind of nuclear/radioactive waves cause a malfunction in the electronics? It's just kinda puzzling it was in the same spot in the road and has never happened anywhere else.I just don't want it to leave me stranded. Thanks fellas.
