Re: How big is a Model 373 GMC?Posted by 350 Don on June 18, 2002 at 11:43:11 from (152.163.204.62): In Reply to: How big is a Model 373 GMC? posted by AGEN on May 26, 2002 at 19:37:33:
The 370 is a two ton truck. They were common when I was a late teenager, often used as cattle trucks by the cattle dealers and by rural milk haulers. Back then they hauled cans of milk in a van body mounted on a 60 series Chev, a 370 model GMC, and a few 600 series Fords. By the way, the 370 designation had nothing at all to do with the motor in the vehicle. Most of them were powered by in-line 6 cylinder units. They were very good, durable trucks by the standards of their day.
