An old truck is a great thing to have. I have a 1966 F100 that my grandad bought new that I restored to drive around on Saturday nights. I also have a 1985 F150 that I use for a daily driver and on the farm. I'll admit that I do use the '66 to haul bags of feed or other stuff that won't scratch up the bed, but it took me a lot of nights and weekends to get that truck looking nice, and I'm not really inclined to 'undo' all that work by using the truck hard. On the other hand, the '85 never gets washed and is starting to rust away, but I can get parts for it at the local O'Reilly's, it has power steering and air conditioning, interval wipers and a stereo to sing along to on the commute to my 'respectable' job in town. So I'd vote for finding a more modern truck to use on the farm. It beats worrying about getting an "antique" all scratched up.
