Me and my brother have a '69 Chevy 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive that is being restored, but we also have a '70 Chevy 4x4, and a '69 GMC 1 ton dually that we use on the farm. I would look for a '67 to '72 truck, sure they are still old, but have the newer looks and some of the late models have disc brakes. We wouldn't trade ours for any new one, we over load the 1 ton like crazy and it takes it with no problem. We just stay on the back roads and stay off the interstates.
