I have the option to purchase a 250 chev inline 6 and powerglide trans from a 71 chevelle. I plan on using this combo in a 56 gmc 1/2 ton. Am I correct in thinking that the 250 uses small block chev engine mounts. If so all I need to set my new power plant in is one of the bent pipe type adapters used for v8s sold by many parts\restoration houses. Also I would rather have a 700r4 trans but what is anyone's opinion on the powerglide with stock rearend. I imagine top speed will be about 45, but thats ok thanks for the help.
