I've got a hotrod 300 in my '69 4x shortbox with 3/4 ton axles an np435,np205, and 35" mud tires with 3.54 gears. broke the rear dana 60 twice. gets 15+mpg, and is a hoot to drive. lots o torque. Is fun to surprize people w what is under the hood, everyone assumes bigblock. It is pretty loud with an x-pipe and dual 3in tails and flowmaster one chambers. like I said, it is fun to drive. I want to switch to 4.10 gears and make it quickor off the line, 4.10's will put it back to how it was with 31"s
