Posted by Southpaw on December 15, 2005 at 20:38:59 from (209.137.215.211):

I have a 429 Ford engine, block casting #DIVE-AA. I assume this is a 1972 model? Is this a block I can machine the deck .0050 to raise the compression ratio like the earlier 1970 models? I have a 1970 model 429 with 10:1 compression and DOVE heads (360 hp). I want to build this engine the same as the 1970 model. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
