1984 GMC truck -need help-

Help, Ihave a1984 gmc c2500 sierra 4spd 350 4brrl, no air nopwr door locks windows etc..It has 220,000miles usally runs great. During the last several weeks i will be driving along fine and the truck will shut down(electrical I think)Iwill coast to the side of the road and after 20 seconds the ignition comes back on and away I go for another5 to45 minutes before it quits again.Ihave checked the alternator , conections and just replaced the distributer module!should I replace the capacitor inside the distributor! Thanks, down and out in Reno! All Ideas welcome, except buy a ford or go to hell! THANKS!!!
