I drove one of those many, many miles. that 238 isn't big by today's standards, but that is a very dependable old horse. If you believe the current owner, and the evidence suggests what he says is true, I wouldn't be a bit afraid of that one. The price is good if the tires are anything at all but remember that you haven't seen it run yet. Is he trustworthy? Unless there is something obvious I would go for it. Good luck with it. Back in '66 another driver and I ran 22,000 miles in 28 days with a 4000 International equipped with a 238 pulling 73,000 lbs on every load.
