Adjusting air brakes-Ford F700Posted by Scott Houtex on June 20, 2002 at 19:50:39 from (206.180.129.50):
My air brakes don't stop very well any more. I use this truck infrequently, so this is a slow developing problem. How do I adjust the brakes? They are air actuated drum brakes. Truck is Ford F700 with CAT 3208 engine 1984 model, manual trans, 2 speed rear. That is about as much as I know. Air pressure is still good, brakes just won't stop truck like they used to.
