The pickup stuff will work as long as you do not put a spread bore manifold on it(quadrajet style). Any 2 bbl manifold will be OK or an early four barrel standard bore manifold with near the same size front and rear barrels. That aftermarket manifold (RPM)is designed for high rpm power instead of lugging power. Look for a dual plane manifold with reasonably small port runners,like a RV or torque type manifold.
