Wheels - 61 GMC stepsidePosted by David Baber on February 08, 2006 at 10:20:38 from (216.27.12.158):
Has anyone put late model factory steel wheels on their 61 GMC truck? I have a full set of factory GMC 2003 steel rims,16" tires and GMC center pieces. I have 2 problems: 1. Hub opening diameter for new rims is 3.0". Front hubs require 3.5" clearance. I'm considering having steel rims "bored out" at machine shop. 2. Stud size on 61 is smaller than 2003; therefore the centerpieces will not mount.
