Thanks for your replies. I changed some of the cables out and that seem to make my current 6 volt batt. perform better. I was told that thoses old cables(could be original, if so they are 55 yrs. old) can act just like a plugged artery after a period of time and can restrict current. Went to a antique auto show Sat. everything went well, new cables ran about 12$ and used the old 6 volt and saved 75$ by not having to get a new battery.
