Real good guys, Also the muscle cars buyers only cared about image and speed, not about gas mileage, even when gas was 22cents. A truck owner is always worried about gas mileage, his overhead costs. The muscle car engines would pull a truck along really well, maybe, with a different cam, but they would have been more thirsty overall. Usually. The buick in a truck story reminds me of a guy converting an old GMC school bus to a camper, a 48 passenger model, He hauled out the V-6, put in a 425 Buick with turbo 400 transmission, last I knew he had over 20,000 miles on that combo, and he kept the two speed truck rear end. Pulled a load of stuff, and a boat to Canada many times. John in Nebr.
