47-54 chevy identificationPosted by Mark on February 14, 2006 at 08:46:22 from (66.177.183.22): My truck is titled as a 1949, but from what I have seen '49 has the gas tank in the cab behind the seat. I wonder if anyone can confirm that any '49's had the tank under the bed? I would love to get a real date on this thing. I have a link to a photo, not that it will help. But you can see the junker. I am guessing the title does not match the truck but I was told the truck was in the same family since new. Not that people don't lie to sell trucks. Any ideas?
