you can try to adjust the levers.. put trans in neutral, put gear shift in neutral..the shifting levers at the end of column should be even, there is a hole for a small rod in the levers for adjusting..you can use a nail of the proper size for that, after getting adjusted, remove said nail.. not sure about buying a new shifting tube..maybe at some of the places that sell parts for restoring of older vehicles...
