52 Mercury 1 ton

This unit has a flat head engine in it but not sure of the size . It had quit on one of the boys and seemed to have no spark. There is power to the coil but nothing coming from the dist. I picked up new points and installed them but not sure of what the gap should be. Thanks for any help.
