V0330WA
V Flint , Michigan Plant
03 month of mfg = March
30 day of month = March 30
WA is the engine code which I can't find in my book , there is no sufix beginning with "W" . My book is for cars only maybe that is the reason . If it is the original engine it it most likely a 283 , they quit the 265 in 57 I think and the 327 wasn't used in pickups very much back then .
Look on the left rear of the block on top of the bellhousing , there is a casting ## there . #3849852 was a 283 block that was supposed to be used in trucks up through 1966 , #3858174 was a 327 block supposed to be used in trucks . That's a couple that were used according to my book there are a few more , see what you can find and post it I'll see what I can come up with , JIM
