Chevy C60 Wheel Lug Questions

While changing a rear tire on my 79 model C60 Chevy truck I broke off a lug stud. The other side already has a couple broke off. Figuring I better fix these before getting stopped by the DOT. So, here's the question. How do I get the hub off the truck? Do I have to pull the axle?
