We didn't experience any mechanical problems with a 1984 F250 used for snow plowing and lawn mower delivery in the 1980's. We added a 1986 Dodge, also purchased new, the same size with 4 wheel drive, too, and no one liked it. the dodge had a lot of brake trouble including a cracked master cylinder when about a week old. They both liked gas a lot.
