Yesterday I had found the leak in my fueline and repaired it. So I was able to finally drive the F-5 further than a 1/4 mile.Unfortunately after about 20 minutes of driving I started to hear a banging that kept repeating at the pace of the engine so I headed home and I noticed the RPM was dropping by the time I got home the engine sounded horrible and kept banging. I checked the pistons and valves in each cyclinder and they all seem to be working fine.I think it may be the cranshaft hitting the side of the oil pan.Because earlier that day I had put some cork in the area of the oil pan where,it had been leaking.Could this cork be shifting the pan towards the crankshaft? And as I crank the engine over I can still hear it very suttle.
