Chev 350 power disappointmentPosted by ClayH on July 09, 2002 at 04:18:01 from (4.34.128.81): own 77 Chev 3/4 2WD with rebuilt 350. Approx. 1000 miles on rebuilt 350 4 bolt w\ RV Cam. Runs & sounds great but barely has enough power to get out of its own way. seems to run down road empty OK but doesn't have the power to smoke a tire & when I hook up my 24' 5th wheel it struggles @ the slightest incline going down the freeway. It's been tuned & timed, & runs & sounds great but is lacking the power of a 350...ie. being able to @ least spin a tire when empty on dry pavement. It's been a huge disappointment! Any suggestions on what I might try to diagnose this good running rebuilt 350? PS running the stock Quadrajet. TIA, Clay
