Smoking problem with Dodge V-6 Engine

Hi...any help would be appreciated. My 94 Dodge Van with the V-6 engine has to rich of fuel mixture. I was driving it down the road...and the check engine light came on. I looked in the mirror...and saw black smoke coming out the tail pipe. I know there is probably a sensor that needs replaced...any ideas?
