I like the small trolley or floor jack. I will usually jack on the axle just inside of the wheel. Might be a good idea to have a 2X8 on board about 2ft long in case the ground is a little soft.

I usually don't carry a spare or jack with my daily driving. If I am going over 25 miles out I will take the spare and jack.
