1990 Dodge with a Cummings ... any weak points to watch for ???Posted by Alberta Mike on July 12, 2002 at 09:46:31 from (209.47.89.138):
My son is looking at buying a 1990 Dodge one-ton pickup with a Cummings Turbo Diesel. It is a one-owner truck with only 90000 original miles on it and that's true, no monkey business with the mileage, we know the original owner and the truck since new. It was always dealer serviced regularly and received a clean bill of health from the dealer on a thorough check last summer. My question is this ... what were the weak points of the truck (if any), or what things should a guy watch for when looking it over. Also, if you've got any idea of what such a vehicle would bring in your area on the market maybe you could give us an idea of what would be a fair price. Most of you would probably be answering in US dollars but that's OK, it's easy to convert to our worthless Canadian ones.
