300-6 in 71 F600 would it swap in my 83 F150 with 300-6

I have a 71 F600 with the 300-6 4speed+one speed rear. It has 52,800 miles and the engine runs pretty good, but the rest of the truck needs a lot of work but is not a basket case. Would the 300-6 from it swap in place of the weak 300-6 in my 83 F150 4x2 automatic. I do know they made 300-6s and also 300-6 heavy duty motors which I think were a little different. Also does anyone know If there is much of a market for the parts if I parted out my 71 F600? It has a good 12' stakeside flatbed on it and really good rear tires.
