those lites are a set of warning lites. There should also be a warning buzzer that comes on when any light up, (if it still works). the lites are from left to right; lft turn sig., low oil indicater, brake or anti lock indicater, diff lock or fan belt indicater, low air or vac. indicater, low water indicater, rt. turn signal.
The way truck is equipted will dictate the actual system the lite protects, ex. if you do not have anti lock brakes the lite will be a brake warning lite. This is for a 1983 truck Im sure an '86 should be similiar. Hope this helps
